Fair & Transparent Policies
Whether you choose Cabtan Classic or Premium, our policies are designed to be fair to you and protective of our drivers’ time.
Charging our clients for what they have not consumed is not our philosophy. However, when a booking is made, a car and driver are blocked specifically for you. If a cancellation happens last minute, that opportunity is lost. Our cancellation fees exist solely to compensate for this opportunity cost and to prevent fake bookings.
- The “90-Minute” Safe Window: For both Classic and Premium, you can cancel your ride for free up to 90 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. In this case, you get a 100% refund of your advance.
- Late Cancellations (Under 90 Mins): If you cancel within 90 minutes of the pickup time, we will deduct 50% of the booking amount (advance paid). The remaining balance will be refunded.
- No-Shows: If the driver arrives at the location and you do not show up or cannot be contacted, 100% of the advance amount will be deducted to compensate the driver for their time and fuel.
We understand plans change. We offer free rescheduling based on your service tier:
- Cabtan Classic: You can reschedule your trip date or time for FREE if done at least 8 hours before the scheduled pickup.
- Cabtan Premium: Enjoy extra flexibility! You can reschedule for FREE up to 4 hours before the scheduled pickup.
- Late Rescheduling: Requests made closer to the pickup time than the limits above may be treated as a cancellation and re-booking, subject to availability.
- Rentals & Outstation: You have full freedom! In Rental packages, you can have multiple stops within your hours/km. In Outstation trips, you are charged per km, so you can go wherever the road takes you.
- Airport & Point-to-Point Detours:
• Under 4 km detour: FREE. We understand you might need to pick up a friend or stop for water.
• Over 4 km detour: Extra charges will apply based on the vehicle type and additional distance covered.
We strive for perfection, but machines and traffic are sometimes unpredictable. Here is how we make it right:
- If We Are Late (>30 Mins): If our driver arrives more than 30 minutes late due to traffic or unavoidable delays, we will offer you a Special Discount on your ride.
- If We Cancel (Rare): In the unlikely event that Cabtan has to cancel your booking, you will receive a Full Refund PLUS a free upgrade to the next class (e.g., Lite to Comfort) or an extra discount on your next ride.
- Breakdowns & Accidents: If the car stops mid-trip, we will arrange a backup vehicle within 45 minutes (depending on location) and issue a discount for the inconvenience caused.
💸 Refund Processing Time
We initiate refunds immediately upon cancellation. However, banks typically take 2 to 7 business days to credit the amount back to your account.
(In most cases, we try to get it done in under 48 hours!)
